DNA Retrieval is a post-mortem collection service that uses a cheek swab to obtain a DNA sample from the deceased. The service includes the collection of the sample and the delivery of a complete DNA kit to the family for optional submission to a third-party ancestry or genealogy testing provider of their choice.
This service includes collection only. All testing, analysis, results, interpretation, and data storage are performed by the third-party testing company selected by the family. No results or reports are provided as part of this service.
Families are responsible for mailing the kit to the testing provider and for reviewing the provider’s terms, privacy policies, and limitations before submission. DNA testing outcomes vary and are not guaranteed.
